Your money and more
See your PayPal balance and other payment methods at a glance. It’s easy to link a new bank account or credit card to PayPal. And now that you’re set up to shop in stores, you can use coupons, offers, and loyalty cards for more savings.
Can I shop or send money when my PayPal balance is zero?
Absolutely. You can always pay using your bank account or a debit or credit card – no PayPal balance required.
How do I get coupons and offers?
We’ll send you offers from participating retailers – just click to save the ones you want. We’ll store them for you and apply them automatically to eligible purchases when you shop in stores.
Here you’ll find information about things you may want to review or take care of. For example, we’ll notify you when your Bill Me Later® statement is available or when an offer is about to expire.
Can I get notified without having to log in to the PayPal website?
Yes. We send many notifications to your email address, and in some cases you can also choose to be notified by text message.
How do I customize how I receive notifications?
You can customize how you receive PayPal notifications in your Settings (go to Settings > Notifications).

Get up to date on your transactions. View and print receipts, track packages, or confirm that your payment arrived.
How do I see the details of my last transaction?
Move your cursor over the transaction and select from the drop-down to see more details and options.
Can I see all of my transactions together?
Yes. Select "See all activity" for a complete, searchable view of all your transactions.
Select from the shortcuts menu to complete common tasks – like sending and requesting money.
Can I send money to someone who hasn’t signed up for PayPal?
Yes. We’ll let them know the money is coming, and they can sign up and start using it in minutes. (And if they don’t claim the money, we’ll send it back to you after 30 days.)
How long does it take to transfer money between my bank account and PayPal?
It usually takes 3-5 days, depending on your bank’s policies.
You now have 2 ways to pay at the register: with the PayPal payment card or with your mobile phone number. You created a single PIN for both.
How do I activate my PayPal payment card?
To activate your card, go to Settings > Payment preferences > In-store checkout > Payment card. Then click “Activate my card”.
When I get to the register, what do I do?
If you’re using your mobile number, just type it into the PIN pad and then enter your PIN. If you’re using the payment card, swipe it and sign or enter your PIN.
How do coupons and offers work?
Coupons and offers are a great way to save when you shop in stores. But with PayPal, you don’t need to clip and carry them with you. Here’s how it works: We’ll send you coupons and offers from participating stores. Just save the ones you want and we’ll store them for you. When you’re at the store, pay with PayPal and we’ll apply the offer automatically to eligible purchases.
Grace period on your purchases
If you signed up for a grace period, you can shop, bring your item home, and then take up to 7 days to choose how to pay for it.
What happens when the grace period ends?
If you don’t make any changes, we’ll automatically use the preferred payment method you chose for in-store purchases.
How do I change my preferred payment method for in-store purchases?
You can choose any payment method you like in your Settings (go to Settings > Payment preferences > In-store checkout > Payment methods).
How can I get a grace period on my in-store purchases?
If you’re eligible, you can sign up in Settings (go to Settings > Payment preferences > Purchases using your grace period).
