Who can enroll with PayPal Giving Fund?

If your organization has a PayPal Business account and is a 501(c)3 Public Charity, Private Operating Foundation, a religious institution, government agency, or Indian tribe that is in good standing with the IRS, you’ll be eligible to enroll with PayPal Giving Fund. Please note that Private Non-Operating Foundations and Supporting Organizations aren’t eligible to enroll with PayPal Giving Fund.

Charities must be able to provide proof of charitable status as well as proof that the PayPal account belongs to the charity (using a bank statement or voided check). Charities must also meet the terms of the PayPal Giving Fund Nonprofit Certification Policy to become enrolled.

PayPal Giving Fund can only grant money to charities that have been adequately vetted by PayPal. PayPal's charity confirmation process helps to ensure that money disbursed by PayPal Giving Fund is used for charitable purposes only.
