What are Approvals and how do they work?

Would you like the ability to approve certain requests that your secondary users create on your account? Approvals is a way for you to add specific users to request and approve actions. The Approvals process requires both to complete the task.

Here's how you set up approvals:

  1. Go to Manage Users.
  2. Click on Manage Approvals.
  3. Click on Get started.
  4. Choose the specific task for which you would like to set up approvals.
  5. Choose a list of users to be approvers.
  6. Click on Yes, Turn on Approvals.

How do I request that an action be approved?

If you're a secondary user with request permissions, you'll go through the task like normal. At the end, if that task requires approval, it will ask you to submit the action to be approved. You'll receive a confirmation when your request has been submitted for approval.

To view the Approval status, go to www.paypal.com/dualcontrol.
