The PayPal Cashback Mastercard account offers you the ability to earn 3% cash back when you check out with PayPal and choose your PayPal Cashback Mastercard and earn 2% cash back on all other purchases where Mastercard is accepted. How do I apply for a PayPal Cashback Mastercard?

When you apply for PayPal Cashback Mastercard, you’ll be asked to confirm your name, address, and phone number, provide your date of birth, annual income after taxes, and the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, and finally agree to the Terms and Conditions. And here’s the cool thing: upon approval, your PayPal Cashback Mastercard account will be linked to your account with PayPal and you’ll see it as a payment option when you check out with PayPal.

Where can I use the PayPal Cashback Mastercard?

You can use the PayPal Cashback Mastercard at the millions of online stores where PayPal is accepted, and if eligible, using the PayPal QR Code in select stores, when you check out with PayPal and choose PayPal Cashback Mastercard as your payment source. You can also use it anywhere else Mastercard is accepted, in stores and online.

Protection for Your Card

What liability do I have for unauthorized charges made on my account?

PayPal Cashback Mastercard cardholders automatically receive zero liability for any unauthorized charges. Unauthorized use does not include charges by a person to whom you have given authority to use your account or card, and you will be liable for all use by such person.

Payments and Charges

How do I pay my PayPal Cashback Mastercard bill?

At any time, you can choose to make a one-time payment or schedule automatic payments towards your balance due. You can pay using your PayPal balance, or your linked bank account conveniently with the PayPal app or on PayPal.com. You may need a linked bank account to pay your bill, even if you’re paying with your PayPal balance, as it will be used if your balance is insufficient.

Reward Structure Change

How has my PayPal Cashback Mastercard changed?

The PayPal Cashback Mastercard benefits are improving! Accountholders will receive a notification that the cashback rewards terms on their account have been upgraded. The benefit of 2% cash back on all purchases has been replaced with unlimited 3% cash back on all PayPal purchases and 2% cash back on all other purchases where Mastercard is accepted. If you already have the existing 2% PayPal Cashback Mastercard, you don’t need to do anything to take advantage of your upgraded rewards! This change will automatically take effect.

Can I still apply for PayPal Extras Mastercard?

No. Applications for PayPal Extras Mastercard are no longer being accepted.
