Why was my PayPal Cash Card transaction declined?

Your PayPal Cash Card may be declined for a transaction for a number of reasons. Some of these reasons include:
  • If there isn't enough money in your PayPal balance, or your balance negative, at the time of an attempted debit card purchase to cover the full payment amount as well as any fees (In cases of ATM). 
If you're an Android user, you can enable Auto Reload for your card via the PayPal mobile app. If, at the time of a payment your balance is insufficient to cover the full amount, money will be pulled from either an attached Debit Card or Bank account in pre-determined amounts. This way the payment is covered.
