My recipient says he didn't receive his payment. Why is the payment still "Unclaimed?"
This most often occurs for one of the following reasons:
  • Your recipient might not have signed up with PayPal using the same email address that you used to send the money. The recipient simply needs to add this email address to their account (they can add up to eight addresses) and confirm the new email address. The money will then immediately appear in their balance.
  • The recipient may not have confirmed their email address. Any payments sent to an account will not appear in the account balance until the user has completed the registration process by confirming their email address.

There are a few reasons why your payment might not be showing up in your recipient’s PayPal account. Most of the time, this happens because the recipient signed up for a PayPal account but hasn’t confirmed their email address or you sent the payment to the wrong email address.

If you sent the payment to the wrong address, ask the recipient to add the email address you used to their PayPal account. After they confirm the email address, your payment will appear in their PayPal balance.

If a payment isn’t claimed within 30 days, it’s automatically canceled.
