If your PayPal account has been linked to your eBay shipping information, you may have some duplicate shipping addresses. To fix this, click the "Delete" button underneath one of the duplicate addresses from your eBay shipping addresses page. What is eBay Buyer Protection?
If you bought something on eBay but didn't receive it or you received something that's significantly not as described, eBay Buyer Protection can help.

eBay Buyer Protection covers eligible transactions for the full purchase price plus original shipping charges. Some purchases -- including vehicles in the Motors category, capital equipment in the Business & Industrial category, and Real Estate -- aren't eligible for eBay Buyer Protection.

To qualify for eBay Buyer Protection:
  • Purchase an eligible item on eBay using an eBay-approved payment method.
  • Pay for the item with one payment. Items purchased with multiple payments aren’t eligible.
  • Send your payment by clicking the Pay For It button on the eBay invoice or by clicking the Pay Now button on the eBay item page.
  • Let the seller know there's a problem with the transaction by opening an eBay Buyer Protection Claim in the eBay Resolution Center. This must be done within 45 days of the payment date.
  • You can report your problem through the eBay Resolution Center or the PayPal Resolution Center, not both. If eBay decides that you’re eligible for a refund, the money will be credited to your PayPal account.

Should I report my problem in the eBay or PayPal Resolution Center?
If you paid for your eBay item with PayPal, you can report your problem on either eBay or PayPal. If you didn’t pay with PayPal, you should report your problem on eBay.

You can only report a problem and dispute a payment once. So, if you dispute a payment on PayPal, for example, you can’t dispute the same payment on eBay.

Either way, you’ll be eligible for a refund of the purchase price plus original shipping costs. Any money refunded to you will be credited to your PayPal account.

We encourage you to review the details of each process before opening a dispute.

Where are my eBay payments, and what happens if they are sent to the wrong email address?
If your eBay payments are sent to the wrong email address, or if they have not posted to your PayPal account, please check the following:

  • Is your email address in eBay's Sell Your Item (SYI) form correct?
  • Did you enter an extra space or period after your email address?
  • Was the email address that is registered to your eBay's account recently changed, but was not changed on your PayPal account?
  • Did you recently change the email address on your PayPal account, but did not on eBay's SYI form?
  • Is the email address you provided to your third-party lister incorrect?
To determine which email address was used in your eBay listing:

    1. Find the item you sold and click "Sell one like this" under Additional Options.
    2. Go to the "Decide how you'd like to be paid" section which will display the email address that was used in the listing.

Here are some more tips:
  • If you found the payment was sent to an old email address, try to re-add that address to your PayPal account. Once it's added, you should receive the payment. You can then remove the old email address and correct the address in the sell your item form.
  • If you used a third party to list your items, open the program or contact the customer support of the third party to change the email address you provided.
  • If you can’t view the email address in your completed listing, contact eBay to determine which email address was used.

To make corrections to your current listing, visit the help link on any eBay page.

Keep in mind you must use the official Relist feature to receive the Insertion Fee credit.
