What if I failed to confirm my debit or credit card?
If the PayPal code is entered incorrectly three times, the credit card is disabled from the PayPal system.
If you would like to use a card that has been disabled, contact us by clicking Contact Us at the bottom of any PayPal webpage so that we can help you reset it. Once you have re-added the credit card, you can enter your PayPal code again.
We charged your card 2 AUD to send a PayPal code. This charge and a 4-digit PayPal code appear on your card statement within 2 to 4 business days. The code sequence appears as PayPal*1234CODE. You will need the first 4 digits to confirm your card. We will refund the charge to your PayPal account immediately once you have confirmed your credit card.
Here's how to enter your PayPal code to confirm your credit card:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click Profile near the top of the page.
- Click My money.
- Click Update beside Debit and credit cards.
- Click Enter PayPal Code.
- Enter the 4-digit PayPal code.
- Click Confirm Card.
