PayPal Rewards allows customers to earn cash back on their purchases from many top brands. How do I earn PayPal Rewards?

Use the PayPal app to find cash back offers and we'll automatically apply them when you check out. Checkout with your PayPal account or PayPal Debit Card to start collecting cash back and rewards points.

How long does it take before I can use my PayPal Rewards?

Points will typically appear as pending in your account overview within 1-14 days of the qualifying purchase. Points can be used or redeemed after 90 days. Travel-related points (such as points earned from eligible hotel reservations, airfare, or rental cars) may take longer to become accessible in your account.

Do I need to sign up to get cash back and earn rewards points?

PayPal is a digital wallet that follows you wherever you go. There is no separate PayPal Rewards enrollment process. You only need an account with PayPal to start earning rewards. You can check your account to track and manage your PayPal Rewards anytime. You’ll earn rewards by saving offers in the PayPal app and using them to make eligible purchases, or making eligible purchases with your PayPal Debit Card. Do I need a balance in my account to use it?

You don’t need to have any PayPal balance in your account to use PayPal. Similar to a physical wallet, when you are making a purchase, you can choose to pay for your items with any of the credit or debit cards or bank accounts that are linked to your account with PayPal.
