Why did I get API error code 10606?

We return this API error code when the transaction attempt from the buyer's credit or debit card is being rejected or declined.

If the error code displays after checkout, use another method to collect the funds from the buyer. To avoid this issue, merchants can:

• Capture the transaction when shipping the order.
• Re-authorize when the fulfillment is delayed.
