Why did I get API error code 11452?

We return this NVP/SOAP API error code when the merchant account is attempting to process a Reference Transaction but has not been approved.

You can receive this code when trying to perform the following transactions:

  • DoReferenceTransaction
  • SetCustomerBillingAgreement
  • BAUpdate

Reference Transactions require approval. Contact Business Support to apply for Reference Transactions on your account.
