How do I save an order with Point of Sale?
The save cart feature allows you to put a customer's order in the cart and hold it until they're ready to pay. Once saved, the shopping cart is freed up for another sale.
Saved carts can be opened from any logged-in device so that staff members can work on the carts from different devices.
How do I save a cart?
- Add items to the cart.
- Click Save.
- You can save it, add a description, or assign a table number.
- Click Save again.
How do I view my open saved carts?
- When the shopping cart is empty, click the cart icon.
- Click View saved carts.
- You will then see a list of all your saved open orders.
Can I print the bill?
To print the bill, first, make sure the printer is set up for Unpaid bills in Accessories settings by following these steps:
- Open the Point of Sale App and click Settings.
- Click Accessories.
- Click the desired printer.
- Toggle unpaid bills on.
Next, to print the bill:
- Go to the saved cart you'd like to print.
- Click More.
- Click Print bill.
Can I save a cart on my Terminal?
This feature is now available on Android devices, including the Terminal.
Can my staff access each other's saved carts?
Yes. All staff members can work on a saved cart from any device logged into the company's account. However, you can only open a saved cart on one device at a time.
Is there a maximum on the number of saved carts I can have?
No, there is no limit on this.
My cart is locked as it's used on another device; what can I do?
You can restore or delete a cart if you want to unlock it.
To restore a cart, you can tap the purple Restore button; this will take over the cart and prevent someone else from using it if they have it open. Once restored, you should be able to use the cart as usual.
If you choose to delete a cart, upon clicking on the cart from the list of saved ones, the system will prompt you that it has been deleted and must be cleared from the device.
