How do I cancel or report a suspicious money request or invoice?

If you’ve received a money request or invoice that you aren't familiar with, don’t pay it. Don’t call any phone numbers stated in the invoice note or open suspicious links.

Only the sender of a money request or invoice can cancel it however, you can report any unwarranted invoices or money requests by logging in to the PayPal website or the PayPal app.

Here’s how to report a suspicious money request or invoice from a web browser:

  1. Select the money request or invoice on your Dashboard or in Activity.
  2. Click Report this invoice.
  3. Follow the steps to confirm reporting it.

  1. Tap Payments.
  2. Tap Bills.
  3. Tap the money request or invoice.
  4. Tap Report this invoice.
  5. Tap Report invoice.
