How do I contact PayPal customer service?

Contact Us

To talk to our customer support team by phone, click Contact at the bottom of any PayPal page. We want to connect you with the right customer support team, so you'll be asked to select the reason for your contact, and then you'll be provided with contact options.

To contact us on the website: 

  1. Go to our Contact Us page. 
  2. Choose the issue that most closely matches your reason for contacting us. 
  3. If the information you're shown doesn't answer your question, scroll down.
  4. Depending on the issue and whether or not you're logged in, you'll see an option to message us, call us, or use the PayPal chatbot.

To contact us on the PayPal app: 

  1. Tap Menu
  2. Tap Message Center
  3. Tap Contact Us.
  4. Choose the issue that most closely matches your reason for contacting us. 
  5. If the information you’re shown doesn't answer your question, scroll down. Depending on the issue, you'll see an option to message us, call us, use the PayPal chatbot, or ask the community.

Calls are answered every day from 8AM – 8PM CST.

Message Center

Just log in to PayPal, go to your Message Center and choose “Ask the PayPal Assistant.” If the PayPal Assistant can’t answer your question you can be transferred to an agent. Agents answer messages between 7AM CST – 10PM CST M-F and 8AM CST to 8PM CST Saturday and Sunday.

To message us on the PayPal app:

  1. Tap Menu
  2. Tap Message Center.
  3. Tap Ask the PayPal Assistant or Contact Us.
  4. Select your issue and follow the instructions.
