What is an account number and routing number for a business account?

When you open a business account, we may assign you an account number and routing number issued by The Bancorp Bank, N.A. These numbers allow you to receive funds into your business account for business or commercial purposes. You can also use them to make business-related purchases through transactions that you initiate on a third-party merchant’s website or mobile application. If you aren’t assigned an account number and routing number when you open a business account, you may request these numbers separately.

Funds transferred to your business account using your assigned account number and routing number are generally available on the same day they are applied to your account. However, because transfers may not always be received instantly, there could be a delay between when the payer initiates the payment and when the funds appear in your PayPal business account balance.

When you use your assigned account number and routing number to pay for goods or services, your business account will be debited either once or on a recurring basis, depending on your instructions. Daily and per-transaction limits apply.

You may be required to provide certain consents and agree to terms and conditions set by the merchant or service provider before completing a payment using your account number and routing number. You can manage or cancel scheduled payments through the merchant’s or service provider’s website or mobile app.
