Why can't I add a bank account to my PayPal account?

When you have problems adding your bank to your PayPal account, please review the following:

  • Make sure your bank account is opened in Japan or in the U.S.
  • Make sure your bank is not added to another PayPal account already.
  • If you have added this bank account to 3 different PayPal accounts previously, you won’t be able to add it to your PayPal account again.
  • Make sure the name on your bank account match the name on your PayPal account.
