Why did I get API error code 10759?

Issue 
PayPal returned API error code 10759 - This transaction cannot be processed. Please enter a valid credit card number and type.

Cause
The credit card being used isn't a valid card type, or the card number is invalid.

Solution
Here's how to resolve this issue:
  • Check that the credit card being used to process the payment is valid.
  • If the credit card can't be used on the PayPal system, have the cardholder contact PayPal Merchant Services at 1-888-221-1161.
