Your safety is paramount to us. This is why we would like to make sure for each PayPal member that bank account and account holder really belong together. Only then we can ensure that no unauthorized person registers your bank account with PayPal.

As soon as we are sure that you are the legitimate owner of the bank account, you can use all benefits your PayPal account offers without any limitations.

  • 1. The confirmation of your bank account ensures that there is no error in your bank account information. This way payments are processed without any problems and you don't have to face any fees for chargebacks.
  • 2. There is no sending or receiving limit for your account which means you can send payments or withdraw money from your PayPal account without any limitations.
  • 3. If you wish you can use fast and easy payments by direct debit.

Only Four Steps to Your Confirmed Bank Account

As soon as we are sure that you are the legitimate owner of the bank account, you can use all benefits your PayPal account offers without any limitations.

  • 1. When you register your bank account with PayPal we will automatically send two small amounts of less than 1 Euro to that bank account.
  • 2. You can see those amounts on your bank account statement after 3-5 days.
  • 3. Next time you log into your PayPal account you will automatically see a page where you can enter the two random deposits. We recommend you to have your bank account statement within reach so you are able to enter the random deposits in the designated fields.
  • 4. By entering those random deposits you confirm that you are authorized to use this bank account. This prooves that only you have access to your bank account statement.

You Did Not Receive the Random Deposits?

In case you have registered your bank account already some time ago, you can still request those two amounts for verification.

To do so, please go to your Profile and click Bank Accounts. From your bank account overview you can request the random deposits in the Status column. As soon as they have been credited to your bank account, please follow the steps above to complete the bank account confirmation.
