What is Open Banking?
Open Banking is a practice that allows banks and financial service providers secure access to your banking and other financial data with your consent. This information helps us make a responsible lending decision and may improve your chances of approval. If you prefer not to use Open Banking, we will not be able to proceed with your application at this time.
As a customer, you consent to allow banks and financial service providers to view your banking information including transactional data. This allows us to better understand your financial situation and better evaluate whether PayPal Credit is affordable for you.
All personal data passing between Tink and PayPal is pseudonymised (which means it is de-identified then validated against unique identifiers). Data that is collected by Tink is in line with their privacy policy which can be found here.
