What is Give at Checkout?

What is Give at Checkout and how does it work?

Give at Checkout enables you to donate to charity when completing a purchase. Simply click the donation checkbox during checkout if you want to support the charity that is displayed to you.

The charity shown to you at checkout is based on your past donation history, purchase history, and similar donation patterns or curated based on relevance and current events.

You can set favourite charities to be displayed to you at checkout and they are rotated on a regular basis.

What are the fees for Give at Checkout?

PayPal covers transaction fees for Give at Checkout donations, so 100% of the money goes to the charity.

How do I select my favourite charity to be displayed at checkout?

  1. Visit your PayPal App or website.
  2. Search for the charity you want to select.
  3. Click and go to the charity profile.
  4. Click the heart icon.

You have the option to donate to your favourite charities during each checkout. To remove a charity as a favourite, tap the heart icon again.

How do I request a refund of my Give at Checkout donation?

As donations are ineligible for a refund, you’ll need to contact the charity directly for this request.
