By participating in PayPal’s Summer Promotional offer with DBZ Marketplace Online Limited, trading as Debenhams (the "Offer"), you agree to the following terms and conditions ("Terms").
1. Eligible Participant: To be an eligible participant (an “Eligible Participant”), each participant must: (1) be eighteen (18) years of age or older; (2) be a resident in the United Kingdom; (3) have a United Kingdom personal PayPal account in good standing (a “Valid Account”) during the Offer Period; (4) be presented with/view an authorised invitation to participate in the Offer (“Invitation”). For the purposes of this paragraph, “good standing” shall mean the Eligible Participant is not in breach of the Terms and the User Agreement, and will continue to comply with the Terms and the User Agreement for the duration of the Offer.
2. Timing: The Offer starts when an Eligible Participant successfully completes the Offer Activation (defined below) and ends 7 (seven) days after Offer Activation (“Offer Period”), or when an Eligible Participant successfully completes an Eligible Purchase (defined below), whichever happens first. The Offer details, including the specific Offer end date and time, will be made available in your PayPal account and viewable in the Offers Section. This Offer is single use and valid on 1 (one) Eligible Purchase during the Offer Period. This Offer may become immediately available to Eligible Participants again within the PayPal app after the Offer Period ends.
3. How it Works: To qualify for Cashback (as defined below), Eligible Participants must successfully complete the following during the Offer Period:
a. log into their Valid Account via the latest version of the PayPal app;
b. activate the Offer within the PayPal app by clicking on the agree and activate button to accept these Terms (“Offer Activation”); and
c. make an Eligible Purchase using their Valid Account during the Offer Period.
4. Eligible Purchases. An “Eligible Purchase” means a purchase made at Debenhams (www.debenhams.com) (“Select Merchant”) in GBP via PayPal online checkout using a Valid Account during the Offer Period. Eligible Purchases do not include: (1) sending/receiving money transactions (including those marked as a “Goods and Services” payments); (2) charitable donations; (3) purchases made using PayPal.me; (4) PayPal Business Debit Mastercard® purchases; or (5) transactions made in any other currency beyond GBP. If an Eligible Purchase is returned, refunded, results in a failed capture, is declined by the Select Merchant, or otherwise does not complete during the Offer Period, that Eligible Purchase will not qualify toward earning the Cashback.
5. Cashback: Eligible Participants will earn and be entitled to claim 10% (ten percent) cashback on an Eligible Purchase from the Select Merchant made during an Offer Period up to a maximum of £35.00 GBP (thirty-five pounds) per Valid Account during the Offer Period (“Cashback”). Any Cashback earned will be rounded to the nearest penny. Once the steps described above are completed and verified, Cashback will be made available in the Eligible Participant’s Valid Account as electronic money typically within 30 calendar days after verification of Eligible Purchase(s) but may be available sooner. The Cashback will form part of your PayPal balance and can be withdrawn to your bank. Use of the Cashback will be reflected on the Eligible Participant’s PayPal receipt and/or in the transaction details of their Valid Account. The Cashback will be made available to you as electronic money in your PayPal balance and will be subject to the User Agreement. Similar offers may run at the same time as this Offer; qualification for this Offer does not constitute qualification for any other offer. Where applicable, this Offer may be able to be used in conjunction with other offers available. The terms and conditions of other offers are set out separately and are not included within these Terms and limitations and caps on other offers may apply.
6. Communicating with you: We may notify you via email to confirm when the Cashback has been confirmed and made available in your Valid Account. If you have agreed to receive marketing emails from PayPal or have enabled push notifications then we may notify you regarding the status of your Offer including, but not limited to, when the Offer has been activated or is expected to expire. You can update your marketing preferences at any time.
7. Receiving and using Cashback: A Valid Account must remain in good standing from the time of participation through Cashback fulfilment, as reasonably determined in PayPal’s reasonable discretion. PayPal reserves the right to limit, cancel, suspend or modify this Offer in part or in its entirety at any time. If we do so, we will provide you with reasonable notice. PayPal reserves the right to review any account or transaction related to this Offer, for any reasonable cause and delay completion of the Cashback. Before delaying or cancelling the Cashback, PayPal will give the Eligible Participant reasonable prior notice, where possible and practicable, and the possibility to object to the decision. PayPal is not responsible and/or liable if any e-mail, Cashback, purchase, referral or Offer-related materials or correspondence are lost, fraudulent, stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, interrupted, delayed, altered, defective, misdirected, tampered with, or irregular in any way or if any Eligible Participant’s e-mail address, Valid Account, or other contact information does not work, is deleted, or is changed without participant giving prior written notice to PayPal. The Offer is void where prohibited or if the Eligible Participant’s account or transactions are fraudulent, abusive, not completed through legitimate channels, or irregular in any way. Certain offers may not be transferable. Participants may access a copy of PayPal's privacy policy available here or contact PayPal if they have questions or requests about the exercise of their rights, privacy and data protection. Any questions relating to the Offer will be resolved in PayPal’s reasonable discretion and its decisions related to the offer will be final and binding.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By participating in the Offer, Eligible Participants agree to be bound by these Terms and the User Agreement. The courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms. This does not limit your rights under mandatory statutory consumer protection regulations and for you to bring proceedings before the courts of the place where you are domiciled.
