Opting in for One Touch is easy and can be activated instantly during checkout 

Step 1: Opt-in during checkout 


When you first checkout with PayPal, simply enter your email address and password for your account to verify your identityTo avoid misuse of your account, it’s also best to only activate One Touch on your personal device or computer. 

Step 2: Check for our confirmation email 


We’ll send you an email to confirm your opt-in. And that’s it — you don’t have to do anything else! Remember, you can choose to turn off One Touch at any time you wish. We will also turn it off if you stop using it on your 180 days as an extra precautionary measure to keep your data safe.

Does it work across all devices? 
Yes. Once you’ve opted in for One Touch, you can breeze through checkout for that specific device and browser for 6 months. If you’d like to have the same for your other devices, you just need to do the same opt-in when checking out on that device or browser.

How does PayPal help protect my financial account information when using One Touch? 
We never share full payment information with the stores you shop on, and monitor transactions closely for any possible frauds or unusual activityTo be extra secure, we’ll ask you to log in again whenever you update your PayPal account details, or your financial information. This way, we can make sure it’s you and not someone else using your account.

I still don’t feel safe checking out with One Touch. 
If you wish to deactivate it at any point, you can turn it off from your account profile at any time. The opt-in is always there for you when you feel ready. 

What if the account is not mine? 
If you’re shopping from a mobile device that is not your own, simply click on the Not Me button to log out. Using someone else’s account to purchase something means that you’d be making an unauthorised payment.

Your Preferred Payment Method is the funding source that will be used when paying with PayPal. You can check your preferred payment method in your Wallet. You can change your preferred payment method at any time.

Changing your preferred payment method on your PayPal account will not affect billing agreements, subscriptions, or recurring payments. You can update your payment preference on billing agreements, subscriptions, or recurring payments at any time in your account.

Here's how to change your preferred payment method:

  1. Go to Money.
  2. Click Payment Preferences on the left side of the page.
  3. Choose a payment method and click Confirm.

If you don’t have enough money in your preferred payment method, we'll ask you to choose a different payment method at checkout.

To make sure you’re using the payment method you want, check the 'Review Your Payment' page.

Tip:

  • Once a payment has been sent to another PayPal account, the funding source cannot be changed.
PayPal.Me is a faster, easier way to get paid through PayPal. Just share your unique PayPal.Me link with your customers. They can simply tap on your link, type in the amount and confirm to pay. They don’t even have to know your email address or install the PayPal app! Your customers can also enjoy the benefit of PayPal Buyer Protection for their eligible transactions.

How do I create my own PayPal.Me link?
Create your link here for free using your name or your business name (for example: paypal.me/johnsmith). If you don't have a PayPal account yet, signup is fast and free.

How do I share my PayPal.Me link?
You can type your PayPal.Me link in your preferred social media site/app, or send it through email or text message. To find your link, simply go to PayPal.Me page and click My PayPal.Me to log in.

Can I use PayPal.Me on my mobile device?
Of course. You can access your PayPal.Me link on mobile phones, desktop computers, and tablets.
