How do I confirm my identity? (CIP)

 For regulatory reasons, we need to confirm our customer’s personal information (such as your name, address, and date of birth.) This is what we call our Customer Identification Process (CIP).

What Is MyInfo/Singpass?

Operated by the Singapore government, Singpass is Singapore citizens’ and residents’ trusted digital identity for access to many government and private sector services, online and in person. MyInfo is a digital personal data platform that allows Singpass users to manage and consent to sharing their personal data held with participating government agencies.

When signing up for and verifying their personal profile with a digital services provider, a Singapore resident can authorize the provider to retrieve their personal information stored with MyInfo via Singpass. This can be done by signing into Singpass, reviewing, and confirming the data to be retrieved.

How do I upload files using my PayPal account?

To upload a file to PayPal for review, please contact our Customer Support teams to generate a secure link unique to your account. Here's how to reach our Customer Support teams.

That secure link will normally be sent via email or messaging during your interaction with our Support Teams. That link will only be able to be used for that singular interaction. A new link would need to be generated if you need assistance uploading documentation to your account in the future. 

For fastest results, it's normally best to upload any requested documentation through the appropriate case via our Resolution Center. If you run into any issues along the way, please feel free to contact our support to request that secure link. 

How long will it take to review my documents?

What if I’ve already uploaded the documents for my other PayPal account?

We need you to upload documents separately for each PayPal account.

The new customer verification method with MyInfo (Singpass) makes it easier and faster for PayPal customers in Singapore to accurately complete the verification process for their account.

By simply authorizing MyInfo (Singpass) to share the relevant data with PayPal, customers can ensure that their most accurate and up-to-date information is registered with PayPal, while avoiding the hassle of manual data entry, and instantly complete the verification process to continue using PayPal.
