How do I contact PayPal customer service?

The quickest way to reach us is to use the PayPal Assistant chat button on this page. Just tap or click to get started. The PayPal Assistant can answer questions right away or connect you to a live agent by chat or phone.

To contact us on the website: 

  1. Go to our Contact Us page. 
  2. Describe your reason for contacting to the PayPal Assistant, or select the topic that best fits your situation on the Contact Us page.
  3. You'll be offered our available support options, which may include live chat or the option to call us. 

To contact us on the PayPal app: 

  1. Tap your profile photo
  2. Choose Help
  3. Choose the issue that most closely matches your reason for contacting us. 
  4. If the information you’re shown doesn't answer your question, scroll down and select Contact PayPal Support.
  5. Depending on the issue, you'll see an option to Message us, access the Resolution Center, or Call Us.

Message Center

Just log in to PayPal, go to your Message Center and choose “New Message.”

To message us on the PayPal app: 

  1. Tap your Profile Photo
  2. Tap Message Center
  3. Tap contact us.
  4. Select your issue and follow the instructions.
