Terms and Conditions
Eligible Participant: Open only to Australian residents who (1) are eighteen (18) or older, and (2) hold an Australian PayPal account in good standing (“Valid Account”).
Offer Period: Starts 5 September 2025 and ends on 1 September 2026 (“Offer Period”).
How it Works: During the Offer Period, PayPal will waive the associated debit card fees (currently 2.6% plus fixed fee – see current fees here ) when an Eligible Participant successfully completes a domestic personal transaction (also known as “peer to peer”, or P2P) for friends and family via the PayPal mobile app or PayPal.com log in, using a linked debit card in the Valid Account (“Offer”). For example, before the Offer, if you send AUD$10 via P2P to your friend using a debit card linked in your PayPal account, you’d be charged AUD$0.56 (i.e. 2.6% plus 0.30AUD). With this Offer, you will not be charged any fees for this debit card funded P2P transaction during the Offer Period.
Miscellaneous: This Offer is not transferable. A Valid Account must remain in good standing from the time of participation through Offer fulfilment to qualify for this Offer. International transactions will still be subject to the standard international fees (please see fees here), and transactions that are not completed in AUD will be subject to a transaction exchange rate, which includes a currency conversion fee. Similar offers may run at the same time; qualification for this Offer does not constitute qualification for any other offer. PayPal is not responsible and/or liable if any e-mail, or Offer-related materials or correspondence are lost, fraudulent, abusive, stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, interrupted, delayed, altered, defective, misdirected, tampered with, or irregular in any way or if any participant’s e-mail address, Valid Account, or other contact information does not work, is deleted, or is changed without participant giving prior written notice to PayPal. This Offer is void where prohibited or if Eligible Participant’s account or transaction are fraudulent, abusive, not completed through legitimate channels, or irregular in any way. Participation in this Offer is subject to the PayPal User Agreement. Any questions relating to the Offer will be resolved in PayPal’s sole discretion and its decisions related to the Offer will be final and binding.
