Instalment payments

Pay in 3 payments give shoppers the flexibility to pay for purchases over time. When you offer Pay in 3, your customers can split their basket into 3 instalments, with the first due at time of purchase and subsequent payments due on the same date each month.

Sign up for a PayPal Business Pay in 3 and set up PayPal Checkout on your website—Pay in 3 is already included. Once you’re set up, you can add dynamic messaging to promote Pay in 3 as customers browse, shop, and check out.

Pay in 3 is included with PayPal Checkout at no additional cost. You’ll be charged our standard PayPal payments transaction fee when customers pay with Pay in 3.

You get paid in full as soon as the transaction is completed. We handle billing on our end so you don’t have to.

When a customer returns something they purchased with Pay in 3, use our standard refund process and we’ll provide a credit to the customer.

You’ll get paid in full once the order is processed, so there's no additional risk to you if a customer doesn’t pay on time or misses a payment.
