How do I cancel a subscription or an automatic payment in my PayPal account?

If you don't want to continue a payment agreement or subscription with your seller anymore, you can cancel it following the steps below:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click Payments near the top of the page.
  3. Click Manage Automatic Payments.
  4. Select the merchant whose agreement you want to cancel, and click Cancel.
  5. Click Cancel Profile to confirm your request.


  • You can't reactivate a recurring payment after you cancel it.
  • You must cancel the subscription at least one day before the scheduled date of the next payment, otherwise the payment might still be sent.
