How do I change my Purpose Code?

Here's how to change the Purpose Code on your PayPal account:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click Edit next to "Purpose code".
3. Click Manage next to "Current purpose code".
4. Select the appropriate Purpose Code for your business from the drop-down menu.
5. Click Save.

If you're changing from a purpose code that shows you export goods to one that shows you export services, we'll ask you to provide supporting proof, like a service agreement, invoice, SOFTEX form, or website evidence. We'll review this before the change takes effect.
