I received a payment notification email, but the payment does not appear in my PayPal account. Why?

If you’re notified that you’ve received a payment but you don’t see it in your PayPal account, the sender may have accidentally sent the payment to the wrong email address.

You might want to contact the sender to confirm that the payment was sent to your correct email address.

If they sent the payment to an email address that you haven’t added to your account, just add the address to your PayPal account. After you confirm that you own the email address, the money appears in your PayPal balance. You can add up to 8 email addresses to your PayPal account.

Note: Money sent to your PayPal account will not be automatically transferred to your bank account. To transfer money to your bank account, please use the Withdraw option under your PayPal account balance and follow the instructions provided.
