Co-founders and friends, Alex Fenkell and Jordan Katzman knew there had to be a better, more affordable way to achieve straighter teeth. They found that 80% of Americans would benefit from orthodontic care, yet only 1% actually receive it. In turn, they teamed up with Camelot Venture Group to develop the SmileDirectClub clear aligners. The company removes the hassle of in-office visits and ships several sets of custom, BPA-free aligners to gradually shift customers teeth into the desired position. SmileDirectClub aims to give patients the smile of their dreams in 4 to 6 months, and for about 60% less than similar companies.
