To help ensure PayPal remains a safer place for all customers to transact, and to comply with regulatory requirements, we may ask you to confirm your identity when you’re reaching a total transaction value of S$7,500.

When the total transaction amount (send and receive) of your PayPal account is reaching SGD7,500, PayPal will send you a request to submit a copy of your identification documents. You can either log in to your PayPal account to upload your documents or fax them to us. You can also verify the authenticity of the request by contacting our Customer Support at (65) 6510 4650 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your identification documents will help us validate your information, ensuring that you are the rightful account owner. The security measure we’ve put in place is also in line with regulatory requirements to conduct customer due diligence. Reference

Please note that there is a 1.28MB size limit for each document, and the maximum size for all documents is 5MB.
State your email address and case number on each fax sheet and send them to (65) 6510-4576 Attn: Compliance Department.
If the required documents do not reach us on time, a limit on your account will be placed as a security measure.
15 days from 1st notification: You will not be able to send payments or withdraw your PayPal balance.
40 days from 1st notification: You will not be able to send and receive payments or withdraw your PayPal balance.
The limitation on your account will be removed once we have received and reviewed your documents.

I have two PayPal accounts under the same company. One of them has completed review of the identification documents. Do I need to submit documentation again if I receive a notification for my other account?
Yes. If you have more than one account, you’ll need to submit the relevant documents for each account to us.
The name registered on your PayPal account must match the name on your documentation, such as your photo ID, bank account statement, etc. If they do not, please submit a request to Customer Support to have it updated:

Step 2: In the “My Account” tab, select "Profile"
Step 3: At the Name field of the Profile page, click “Change”
Step 4: Select the type of name change you would like to make
Step 5: Click "Continue" and follow the online instruction
