Starting your own business is a bold step, but that’s what Lindsay Silveira did when she married, gave up her career in Pune and moved to Goa. Four years later, Linsanity Design is a growing design consultancy with corporate clients across India and around the world.

Pitching a professional service to cross-border clients.

Lindsay’s first international client, in Dubai, paid by bank transfer. It took 4 weeks and many visits to her bank before the funds were in her account. Other payment methods only worked in certain countries or were unfamiliar to potential clients. Linsanity Design needed a fast and secure solution that projected a professional image to potential clients wherever they are.

A trusted partner to support international growth.

After investigating different payment solutions, Lindsay decided on PayPal.

“People trust PayPal,” she says, “and because it has fewer geographical limitations, I thought it would be the best choice for my international clients.”

She now uses PayPal Invoicing to bill clients in their own currency. For project milestones, invoices are scheduled in advance. Invoices and reminders are then sent automatically so the business never misses a payment.

The confidence to open new markets.

Using PayPal helps Linsanity Design grow its international business. Potential customers have confidence when they see PayPal as the preferred payment method and PayPal Invoicing makes the process seamless for both parties. When clients pay, the money is received in minutes, so projects get started sooner. Linsanity Design now has clients in the USA, UAE, Australia, UK, Germany and Moldova. 35% of its business comes from international sales.

Lindsay also uses PayPal for international purchases such as specialist design software, where PayPal Buyer Protection protects her from fraudulent sellers.

“If something goes wrong,” she says, “PayPal has your back.”

“I wouldn’t know where to begin if I didn’t have support on international payments, because it’s such important part of business. If clients have a poor experience with the design process, payments or anything else, we won’t see them again. Partnering with PayPal has opened new, international markets, even some places I’d never heard of. It’s given me the confidence to pitch to clients outside of India.”
