Why did I get result code 102?

We were unable to communicate with the credit card processor. These transactions don’t make it out of the Payflow network and won’t settle or appear on processor reports.

The causes of this error are:

  • We’re currently having trouble connecting with your processor.
  • An international bank issued the card.
  • TSYS processor information isn't set up correctly.

To resolve the issue, try one or more of these solutions.

Connectivity problems

Once you report connectivity issues to us, we immediately start working to resolve them, but we can't complete your transaction until it is resolved. Wait and try to resubmit the transaction later. If the transaction still doesn't complete after one hour, contact Payflow Support to receive an update.

International credit card

When the card-issuing bank doesn't respond to the authorization request, ask the customer to provide a different credit card or obtain and process a voice authorization.

TSYS (formally Vital) information incorrect

Contact your merchant bank for the correct TSYS information for your account and contact TSYS for verification. After verification, contact Payflow Support and ask to update your account.
