What can I do if I can't I log in?

If you’re having trouble logging in, you may just need to clear your cache and cookies from your Internet browser. If you need help doing this, go to your browser's support site, or do a web search with "How do I clear cache and cookies in (Your Internet browser name and version, for example, Internet Explorer 11)?"

If you can’t log in because you forgot the email address or password connected with your PayPal account, you can recover them with these steps:

I forgot the email address I use to log in to my account:

Here’s how to recover your email address:

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.il.
  2. Click Log In.
  3. Click Having trouble logging in?.
  4. Select ‘I don’t know what email address I used.’
  5. Enter up to 3 email addresses you may have used with your PayPal account.
  6. Enter the security code shown, without spaces.
  7. Click Continue.

If we match your email address to your PayPal account, click I know my password and want to log in.

If none of the email addresses match, you can enter 3 additional email addresses or follow these steps:

  1. Click Different method near the top of the page.
  2. Enter your account information.
  3. Enter the security code shown, without spaces, and click Submit.

The email address you used with your account appears in the 'Account login' section of the page.

I know my email address, but I don’t know my password:

Here's how to recover your password by email:

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.il.
  2. Click Log In.
  3. Click Having trouble logging in?.
  4. Select 'I don’t know my password.'
  5. Enter the email address you used to create your PayPal account.
  6. Enter the security code shown, without spaces.
  7. Click Continue.

Depending on the information on your account, we will either ask you to enter in some details, such as your card number, to confirm your account. Alternatively, we may send an email to your email address. If we send you an email, simply click on the link in the email and create a new password.

Here's how to recover your password by phone:

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.il.
  2. Click Log In.
  3. Click Having trouble logging in?.
  4. Select 'I don’t know my password.'
  5. Enter the email address you used to create your PayPal account.
  6. Enter the security code shown, without spaces.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Click by phone on the 'We just emailed you' page.
  9. Select a telephone number from your account.
  10. Select 'Call now' or 'Call in 1 minute' if you are ready to receive a telephone call.
  11. Enter an email address where you can receive further instructions from us.
  12. Click Continue.
  13. When you receive the automated phone call from PayPal, enter the Security Code number you see on the screen with the phone keypad.
  14. After you enter your Security Code, hang up and click Continue.

If you’re still unable to recover your password or if your password was entered incorrectly too many times, please phone us on 1809-477-777.
9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Israel time, Sunday through Thursday.

  1. We'll give you a 5-digit code, then send you an email.
  2. Click the link in the email.
  3. Enter the 5-digit code we gave you.
  4. Create a new password and select 2 security questions.

Note: your PayPal password should be 8-20 characters long and include at least one number or symbol (like !@#$%^).
