How do I cancel or report a suspicious payment request or detailed payment request?

If you’ve received a payment request or detailed payment request that you don’t recognize, don’t pay it. Don’t call any phone numbers stated in the request note or open suspicious links.

Only the sender of a payment request or detailed payment request can cancel it however, you can report any unwarranted requests by logging in to the PayPal website or the PayPal app.

Here’s how to report a suspicious payment request or detailed payment request from a web browser:

  1. Select the payment request or detailed payment request on your Dashboard or in Activity.
  2. Click Report this detailed payment request.
  3. Follow the steps to confirm cancelation.

  2. Tap Bills.
  3. Tap the payment request or detailed payment request.
  4. Tap Report this payment request or detailed payment request.
  5. Tap Report detailed payment request.
