PayPal Giving Fund Ireland is a registered charity with The Charities Regulator (No. 20205692) that uses PayPal technology and financial support to fundraise for causes, without charging donors or charities for our services.*
Vanessa drives PPGF UK and Ireland's strategic development and operations. She started her career at American Express in Risk Management and later on Operations, founded a consultancy supporting independent sustainable businesses. She also acts as board chair for the Loss Foundation, a UK charity providing free bereavement services.
Anya handles our accounting, overseeing our financial operations and preparing our accounts. She is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has worked in a wide range of organisations in the private and voluntary sectors.
Emma provides assistant company secretarial support to PayPal and PayPal Giving Fund. She joined PayPal through the acquisition of Hyperwallet in l2018 and has supported the boards for 6 years. She has extensive experience supporting multiple boards and entities across the globe.
Sean is the chief operating officer for PayPal Europe. He is responsible for credit, governance, change management, outsourcing and technology. Prior to PayPal, Sean was Head of Operational Risk for Daiwa Securities, and Finance & Risk Manager at NatWest. Sean is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, and a graduate of the University of Limerick and University College Dublin.
Maeve is particularly interested in Corporate Social Responsibility and joined PPGF Ireland’s board from its inception. To help advance PayPal's purpose-driven mission and vision, Maeve recently committed to serving as PayPal Community Impact Executive Sponsor for EMEA and also has a special interest in supporting women in business and entrepreneurship.
Annette is a seasoned professional with 20 years-experience in customer service leadership. Prior to PayPal, she worked at Vodafone and Eir where she developed a reputation for adding value by putting both the customer and the employee at the centre of decisions. Outside of work Annette is a mum to two young boys and avid Dubs fan.
Tom is an Accountant and Auditor by background with specific expertise in the areas of Governance, Finance and Risk Management. His experience includes senior roles with the Charities Regulator and years in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General. He was previously a member of the Charities SORP Committee and is also a current Trustee of The Centre for Effective Services. He is a Fellow of the ACCA, a member of Institute of Internal Auditors and holds an MSc in Strategic Management.
PayPal Giving Fund Ireland receives grant funding in support of its charitable mission from PayPal Charitable Giving Fund (“PPGF US”), a public charity in the U.S., which also appoints PPGF Ireland board directors. PayPal Giving Fund is registered charity overseen by the Charities Regulator, and its directors are under a duty to make decisions in the best interests of the charity. Its board includes some directors who are independent of PayPal.
PayPal Giving Fund Ireland does not employ staff, but benefits from staff time given by PayPal Giving Fund UK, its sister organization in the UK. PayPal, Inc. a listed US company, provides grant funding to PPGF US in support of its charitable mission, and appoints PPGF US’ board members.
