  • First and last name of the bank account owner,
  • transaction history of your bank account (i.e. recipient, sender, amount, purpose of the transaction, balances),
  • currently available balance,
  • currency of your bank account.

2. Purpose of the Data Requests

The requests for data on your bank account shall help us manage risk and fraud. It enables us to process more of your future payments.

We would like to make sure that it is you who owns the bank account which you would like to use as a funding instrument for payments with PayPal.

Moreover, the data requests may allow us to judge your ability to meet any future financial obligations towards PayPal and to determine which services we would like to offer to you.

In particular, they may allow us to prevent our future direct debits on your bank account from failing for lack of funds or other reasons.

3. Performance of the data query by Tink

The data query is performed by Tink AB (“Tink”) who is acting as a technical service provider on PayPal’s behalf. Tink may access and store the information as described in section 1 above.

Tink is licensed as a payment institution and supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. Tink ensures a high security standard. However, PayPal alone is responsible for the data query; you do not enter into a contractual relationship with Tink.

4. Withdrawal of Consent

You can revoke your consent at any time irrespective of your future use of PayPal from your account settings.

5. PayPal Privacy Statement and PayPal User Agreement
