PayPal Giving Fund is an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) public charity (Federal Tax ID: 45-0931286) that uses PayPal technology and financial support to fundraise for causes,
without charging donors or charities for our services.
Nick heads up the PayPal Giving Fund team globally, supporting the US and UK boards in developing and driving the organization's strategy. Prior to that, he ran PayPal Giving Fund UK. Nick joined PayPal Giving Fund from ACEVO, the professional network for charity leaders, where, as director of strategy, he led the association's policy and professional development teams.
Joshua manages the internal operations of PayPal Giving Fund, including accounting and finance. His previous roles have included COO and CFO at an international poverty alleviation organization, VP at a strategic consulting firm focused on social impact, and project manager for a start-up satellite telecommunications company in Ghana. He holds an MBA from the George Washington University and a bachelor's degree from Williams College.
Since joining PayPal Giving Fund in 2011, Ryanne has helped PPGF grow 2,500% in year-over-year funds raised for charity and implemented efficiency measures to better respond to and support some of the largest charities in the US and UK. She has a bachelor’s degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and lives in the greater Washington, DC area.
Ying joined PayPal Giving Fund (at the time MissionFish) as a support engineer to make sure our site and systems run as smoothly as possible. Today, Ying processes daily donation transactions and establishes payments to our charities in the US. and UK. She specializes in reconciling our financial and online systems to ensure all donations are accurately processed. Ying has a master's degree in Computer Science from George Mason University.
Nuru manages PayPal Giving Fund’s accounting activities. Prior to joining PayPal Giving Fund, she worked for Atlantic Recycling Group, LLC, Jewish War Veteran’s museum, Common Cause and Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges. She is a chartered CPA in Virginia and graduated in accounting and finance from USC, Columbia. Nuru enjoys traveling, swimming, reading, and spending time with her husband and two kids.
Josh is responsible for daily and monthly financial activities at PayPal Giving Fund. He has held various accounting roles within the technology industry at Safenet, Sourcefire, and Cisco Systems. He received an MBA from Loyola University, Maryland, with a focus on international business and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Towson University. When Josh is not working, he is traveling the world.
Jason is responsible for our alternative charity payment operations in the US, Canada and Australia. Prior to joining PayPal Giving Fund, Jason held roles within companies in the financial and tech sectors, such as Morgan Stanley and Apple. Aside from his responsibilities at PayPal Giving Fund, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, and is a member of the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department.
Scott heads partner relations at PayPal Giving Fund and works closely with our major partners, such as PayPal, eBay for Charity, Humble Bundle, and GoFundMe. In his spare time, he volunteers at local food banks, helps with music at his church, coaches youth soccer, and enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and daughter.
Zaima's responsibilities consists of providing operational accounting and fundraising support at PayPal Giving Fund. She recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in International Relations and Global Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling and volunteering with various organizations in Washington D.C.
Bill is a retired philanthropic and investment professional. Most recently, he was head of investments for Omidyar Network, a philanthropic investment firm that aims to create social impact at scale. Previously, Bill served in several senior-level positions at eBay, including VP, corporate social responsibility and VP, corporate development.
John is head of global consumer products for PayPal. John came to PayPal with the acquisition of Xoom, one of the most innovative platforms in the digital money transfer and remittance space. Prior to Xoom, John was CEO of Plumtree Software, a provider of enterprise software solutions. Before he joined Plumtree, John worked at Adobe Systems in a variety of product roles.
Aaron is the chief accounting officer for PayPal. He is responsible for external financial reporting, accounting operations, financial systems, finance risk and global payroll. Prior to PayPal, Aaron was controller of the eBay payments segment, assistant controller at MasterCard, and director of IFRS policy and implementation at IBM. Aaron is a licensed CPA in Nebraska and Connecticut.
Steve is chief product architect at eBay. Previously, Steve was chief product officer at Magento Commerce, VP of innovation and new ventures at eBay, and VP of eBay mobile. Steve was named a ‘Top 10 Mobile Commerce Chief’ by Internet Retailer, serves on the board of Rosetta Stone, and has amassed a patent portfolio of 36 patents (12 issued) spanning a broad spectrum of technology and software.
Ellie has been in the financial services industry for 22 years. Throughout this time Ellie has played numerous roles in training organizations, contact centers, project management programs and telemarketing services. In her current role at PayPal, she has end-to-end accountability for global customer support and the various support teams such as training, knowledge management, go to market, segmentation, performance management and leadership effectiveness.
