PayPal Money Pool Promotion Terms

1. This “#SuperTeacher” promotion (“Promotion”) is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over, who have a PayPal account, except any employees (and their families) of any PayPal company, its affiliates, subsidiary companies ("PayPal"), any representatives or agents of those companies and anyone else who may be professionally involved with the Promotion with all such persons not being eligible to enter. PayPal reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.
2. The Promotion begins at 00:00:00 BST on 1 June 2020 and finishes at 23:59:59 BST on 25 June 2020 ("Promotional Period").
3. By participating in this Promotion you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”).
4. There is one way to enter the Promotion: 1) Create a PayPal Money Pool; and 2) Use “#SuperTeacher” anywhere in the description field of your PayPal Money Pool. In order to participate in the Promotion entrants must have a valid PayPal account in good order that remains so at the conclusion of the Promotional Period. This is a free entry promotion and there is no requirement for the entrant or any third party to make a payment or donation into the Money Pool, or make any payment using PayPal, in order to enter the Promotion, and an entrant’s likelihood of being selected as a winner will not be affected by the making of any payment or donation into the Money Pool, or of any payment using PayPal.
5. Each of the “#SuperTeacher” Money Pool creations entered into the Promotion will be judged by a panel of independent judges against the following criteria: either or both of the impact of the nominated teacher on the well-being and care of their students, and/or the impact of the nominated teacher in the community. Up to 10 “#SuperTeacher” Money Pool creations will be selected by the panel after the Promotional Period has ended. Each of the individual winners will receive £500 to be contributed to their “#SuperTeacher” Money Pool (the “Prize”), which will be added to the account balance connected to their winning “#SuperTeacher” Money Pool by no later than 31 August 2020, accompanied by a message notification informing the winner that they have won a Prize in the Promotion. The total prize fund available for the Promotion is £5,000.
6. Subject to paragraph 4 above, prizes are limited to one Prize per entrant. Each registered entrant can enter the Promotion once, regardless of how many“#SuperTeacher” Money Pools an entrant creates; if an entrant creates multiple “#SuperTeacher” Money Pools then only the first “#SuperTeacher” Monel Pool created by that entrant will be entered in the Promotion. The Prizes are not transferable, not refundable and cannot be exchanged for any other product or prize, or cash substitute.
7. The decisions of PayPal in respect of this Promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into in this respect.
8. Entrants shall be responsible for ensuring that the contact details associated with their PayPal account are up to date and accurate.
9. PayPal reserves the right to redraw a winner in the event that an original winner is disqualified in accordance with these terms and conditions, and to withdraw the Prize from the original winner in question.
10. PayPal may ask for proof from winners to verify their personal details (sufficient proof may include a PayPal payment receipt, a credit card receipt or other documentary evidence acceptable to PayPal). PayPal may also ask winners to provide proof of their age and/or country of residence.
11. Each winner of the Promotion expressly consents to PayPal disclosing to its authorised agents information about the winner for the sole purpose of fulfilling the delivery of the Prize.
12. Entrants will need an Internet connection in order to participate in the Promotion. No refund may be claimed for expenses incurred in participating in the Promotion, including in relation to the use of the Internet.
13. If PayPal has suspicions or knowledge that any entrant has been involved in any fraudulent or illegal activity, PayPal reserves the right to disqualify that entrant and any related entrants from the Promotion.
14. PayPal may also disqualify from the Promotion any entrant that does not act in accordance with these terms and conditions or PayPal's rules and policies.
15. Entries, lists and or prizes may be withdrawn by PayPal from people using the Promotion in a way in which PayPal deems inappropriate at its sole unlimited discretion.
16. If an entrant has a PayPal account, that entrant must not be in breach of PayPal’s User Agreement at any time and their PayPal account must be in good standing at all times.
17. PayPal reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel the Promotion at any time as it may determine in its sole discretion without any liability to any entrant or any other person. This includes, without limitation, the ability to substitute the Prize with another prize of equivalent or greater value if necessary, or to change the specification of the Prize if circumstances require it, or to change the entry methods, or to change the duration of the Promotional Period. PayPal reserve the right to add additional terms and conditions for certain prizes awarded as a part of this Promotion.
18. PayPal shall not be liable, in contract or tort (including negligence) or the breach of statutory duty or in any other way, for the loss or damage howsoever arising suffered by the entrant resulting directly or indirectly from entry to this Promotion. Nothing in these terms shall limit PayPal's liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
19. PayPal does not accept, and is not responsible for, any lost or delayed entries. PayPal reminds entrants of the nature and limitations of the Internet and is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software that may affect entry to the Promotion or receipt of prizes.
20. Although PayPal will use reasonable efforts to ensure that all information relating to the Promotion ("Promotional Material") is accurate, PayPal is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software failure that may affect PayPal's operation of the Promotion or the PayPal site, including without limitation the accuracy of any Promotional Material.
21. PayPal may use third parties to facilitate one or more elements of this Promotion and we may provide some of your personally identifiable information to them. These third-party service providers are subject to confidentiality agreements with us and other legal restrictions that prohibit the use of the information we provide them for any other purpose except to facilitate the specific outsourced PayPal related operation. 22. This Promotion is governed by English law. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the paypal.co.uk User Agreement.
