How to Sign Up

Signing up is easy and we’ve broken down the steps to guide you through the process.  

When you see the PayPal button while checking out: 

You can choose to sign up while checking out on any online store that accepts PayPal. All you need to do is to choose PayPal as your payment option, and you will be brought to PayPal’s secure network where you can enter your personal and billing information. 

Already signed up for an account? Here’s how to add a credit or debit card 

On the PayPal website:  

STEP 1: Select your account type 

Signing up can also be done on our website. Simply select Get Started in the ‘Buy with PayPal’ box. 

STEP 2: Create your login details 

Let us know the email address and the password you want to useThey will be required to log into your account in the future, so make sure to choose a password only you know. 

If you’ve already got a business account set up, you’ll need to set up your new account with a different personal email address, bank account and credit or debit card. You can also choose to upgrade your personal account if you want more secure payment solution for your business. 

STEP 3: Tell us more about yourself 

Provide us with more details such as your name, date of birth, address and contact details. Do ensure the details are the same as those in your National ID card, and don’t forget to check the box to accept our terms and conditions.  

STEP 4: Link your credit or debit card  

Adding a credit or debit card to your PayPal account not only saves you time when you shop online, but helps safeguard your financial information and purchases against potential fraud. You can link your credit or debit cards to start shopping immediately. 

STEP 5: Verify your email address

Once your account has been created, we will send you an email to confirm your email address. We’ll also email you each time you make a payment so you can easily track your shopping. 

Click on Confirm Email Address to verify your email address on our network. You can also verify your mobile number by clicking on Get Code to start sending and receiving money on your mobile device. 

That’s it, you now have your account set up and ready to go!

What is PayPal.Me?
PayPal.Me is a faster, easier way to get paid through PayPal. Just share your very own PayPal.Me link ( with others, and they can send you money for any reason.

They don’t have to know your email address or mobile phone number, or even have the PayPal app. They can just tap on your link, go to your PayPal.Me, type in the amount, and send the money.

How do I create my own PayPal.Me link?
Just visit
to create your link. If you already have a PayPal account, log in and generate your link. If you don't, signup is fast and free.

You can also grab your link from the PayPal.Me Profile section in your account settings.

Is it free to set up?
It sure is! PayPal doesn't charge a fee to open

PayPal.Me is open to all account types, however business accounts can only accept Goods and Services payments.

Manage Users is only available to customers with a Business account.

You can use your PayPal Business account to add users to your account, create multiple logins and access levels, and assign specific privileges so your employees can complete tasks for you. This PayPal feature lets you give PayPal account access to up to 200 employees, each with a unique login ID and level of authority.

If you have a Business account, here's how you can add new or additional users to your PayPal account:

  1. Go to SettingsIcon Settings.
  2. Click My account settings.
  3. In the Manage users section, click Get started or Update.
  4. Click Add User.
  5. Provide the user's information, check each account privilege you're giving this user and click Save.
The PayPal Refunded Returns service can help to cover the cost of return shipping for eligible items back to the seller. To start requesting refunds on your return shipping costs, click Activate for free on our Refunded Returns page.

If you don’t have a PayPal account just click the Sign Up button on the activation page to get started.

How do I request for Refunded Returns?

Once activated, you can ask for a refund on your return shipping cost for eligible items, up to 15 USD per refund request. To qualify for Refunded Returns, please return the purchased item to the seller within the required timeframe and retain your postage receipt and documentation as outlined within the Terms & Conditions.
  1. Go to Activity and locate the transaction of the item you have returned.
  2. Click the transaction and then click Request return shipping refund.
To create and manage PayPal Subscriptions for your customers:
  1. Go to Tools.
  2. Click Get paid
  3. Click Open under Subscriptions.
