Pay After Delivery Terms and Conditions

 

  1. These terms and conditions apply to your use of the Pay After Delivery (“PAD”) payment option and are incorporated by reference into the PayPal User Agreement.

  2. You can use PAD to make eligible purchase transactions without paying for up to twenty-one (21) days.

  3. PayPal will not charge you any fees or interest for your use of PAD.

  4. PayPal will determine at its sole discretion whether you are eligible for PAD. Eligibility criteria include but are not limited to transaction activity and having a valid bank account linked to your PayPal account from which funds may be withdrawn. If you do not have a valid linked bank account, then PAD won’t be available, even if you have used PAD before.

  5. Some purchase transactions may not be eligible for the PAD payment option. If the purchase transaction is eligible, you may choose to pay with PAD at the time of purchase.

  6. If you select PAD as the payment method:

  1. Your entire purchase transaction amount will be funded from your primary bank account linked to your PayPal account, even if you have balance in your PayPal account. You cannot use a gift card or other incentive to partially fund a PAD transaction.

  2. You acknowledge that we may resubmit a pre-authorized debit if the initial debit is rejected or you have insufficient funds in your primary bank account. PayPal is not responsible for any fees charged by your financial institution in connection with the payment, including without limitation charges for non-sufficient funds (NSF).

  3. If there are insufficient available funds in your primary bank account, you authorize PayPal to fund the remaining amount of the transaction from any of the following sources: your PayPal account balance, linked credit or debit card.

  4. For each payment using PAD, you authorize PayPal to debit the primary bank account for the full amount of the payment 21 days after the transaction date, or sooner in accordance with your instructions, or later as described in Section 8 below. PayPal will email a reminder to you before the scheduled debit.

  1. Where you have qualified for and initiated a PAD transaction, PAD will be identified as your preferred payment method for future eligible transactions. You may change your preferred payment method at any time for future transactions. You may select a different payment method for future transactions and change the payment method at the time the payment is made.

  2. If you have a problem with your purchase transaction, and it is eligible for PayPal’s Purchase Protection Program, you must follow the procedures described in the PayPal User Agreement to make a claim. If you make a claim within twenty-one (21) days of the purchase transaction, we will suspend debiting your primary bank account until the resolution process is complete, unless the claim is decided in your favour. If the Purchase Protection claim is decided in your favour, we will not debit the purchase transaction amount from your primary bank account. You authorize PayPal to debit the full amount of the purchase transaction in the manner described in Section 6 above if we do not decide a Purchase Protection claim in your favour.

  3. PayPal has the right, at any time and at its sole discretion, to terminate, cancel, suspend or modify the PAD payment option, qualifications or eligibility for PAD, or any buyer’s ability to use PAD.

  4. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and the PayPal User Agreement, these terms will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
