PayPal 10% Donation Match #GivingTuesday Campaign Terms and Conditions
How it works. Make a donation using PayPal (#GivingTuesday) and we’ll match 10% of every donation made to PayPal Giving Fund (“Offer”), for the benefit of your recommended charity up to $600,000 in total matching funds. Donations will be matched on a first come, first served basis.
Offer Period. Starts at 6:00am Eastern Time on December 3, 2019 and ends when the $600,000 donation cap has been reached (“Offer Period”) or on December 31, 2019, whichever occurs first.
Eligibility Requirements. Must have a United States account with PayPal (“Valid Account”) in good standing to participate. Must use your Valid Account to complete a donation on www.paypal.com/giveback or the PayPal mobile app to PayPal Giving Fund in support of the organization of your choice. Donations up to $1,000 per donor and $15,000 per nonprofit over the course of the entire Offer Period are eligible to be matched. Making a donation means you understand and agree to PayPal Giving Fund’s donor terms of service, including (but not limited to) its provisions that donations are non-refundable, cannot be used to confer benefits on you, family members, or affiliated entities, and are granted to your recommended charity subject to PayPal Giving Fund’s Donation Delivery Policy.
Exclusions/Disqualification. Donations are not eligible to be matched if they are made when you are not logged into your Valid Account or PayPal Cash Mastercard®, PayPal Cashback Mastercard, PayPal Prepaid Mastercard, PayPal Extras Mastercard, and PayPal Business Debit Mastercard purchases made using the card directly and not through your PayPal account.>
Offer is void and donation will not be matched if, in PayPal’s sole discretion: (1) it is made in an attempt to tamper with or impair the administration, security, proper play, or fairness of this Offer, (2) it is not completed through legitimate channels, (3) any Offer-related materials are counterfeit, altered, defective, tampered with or irregular in any way, (4) any person supplies false or misleading information, participates by any fraudulent means, or is otherwise determined to be in violation of these Terms, (5) if an entity makes a donation for its own benefit, or (6) if donations to an entity are made by an individual acting for the benefit of an entity with the entity’s funds. PayPal reserves the right to deny a donation match or cancel, suspend or modify all or part of the Offer at any time without notice, for any reason at its sole discretion.
Donation Acknowledgement. Donations will be made to PayPal Giving Fund, an IRS-registered 501©(3) nonprofit organization and granted to your recommended charity pursuant to its Donation Delivery Policy. Contribution may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Consult your tax advisor to understand your specific circumstances. No goods or services will be provided in exchange for your donation. For donations made during the Offer Period, after the cap has been reached, an email will be sent to the primary email for the Valid Account used to donate explaining whether or not the donation was matched at 10%.
Miscellaneous. PayPal is not responsible and/or liable for any lost, stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, interrupted, delayed, or misdirected e-mail, or Offer-related materials or correspondence or if any participant’s e-mail address, Valid Account, or other contact information does not work, is deleted, or is changed without participant giving prior written notice to PayPal. Any questions relating to the Offer will be resolved in PayPal’s sole discretion and its decisions related will be final and binding.
All organizations enrolled with PayPal Giving Fund are eligible to receive matching dollars. To ensure as many nonprofits as possible can benefit, each organization is eligible to receive up to a maximum of $15,000 from the Giving Tuesday match.
