Nepal Earthquake Response

Following the Nepal earthquake, we rallied quickly to leverage our assets to mobilize financial support for the effort. Less than 24 hours after the earthquake struck, we launched a US campaign in support of more than 20 charities. Appeals in the UK, Brazil, Canada, Singapore and Australia soon followed. Through these efforts, we helped raise more than$19 million.

Give Cheer

During the 2014 holiday season, we celebrated #GivingTuesday with the launch of Give Cheer. Through this campaign, we helped to make donations go further by adding 1% to each donation made through PayPal Giving Fund and select partners. In total, the campaign raised $8.6 million from Dec. 2 - Dec. 31 – just one piece of our record-breaking holiday giving season.

Competition for Good

During the last World Cup, we partnered with the Neymar Jr. Project Institute and Waves for Water to challenge our community to “compete” on behalf of their country by making a donation. The campaign raised over $300,000 for Waves for Water, providing 6 million people in Brazil with access to clean water.
