They’ve become really big cheerleaders and there’s something validating about that…You share your baby with them and they are excited about it. That’s really motivating to us and our whole staff.

Partnering to build better communities

In 2012, a team of employees at PayPal wanted to find a way to connect with the communities where they lived and worked. They wanted to give back to the local businesses that made their communities a home, and they wanted to learn something new at the same time. From that desire, the PayPal Business Challenge was born.

The PayPal Business Challenge gives employees at PayPal the opportunity to spend 10% of their working time with a team of like-minded employees, partnering with a local business to learn about their business and solve challenges that the business has identified. Teams compete in a friendly competition to see who can have the greatest positive impact with their business partner.
