Bring your cash and barcode to the register at the retailer. A service fee of up to $3.95 will apply.

¹ The amount of cash you can add may be reduced if there’s additional activity on your PayPal Cash Plus account between the time you generate the barcode and when you use it.

Keep your receipt. You'll receive an email to confirm your money was sent to your PayPal Cash Plus account. Each barcode can only be used once. Mobile barcode will expire within 1 hour of being created.

Limits

You can usually add any amount from $20 to $500 per barcode. You may use up to three barcodes or add up to $1,500 total per day, whichever event comes first.

PayPal limits you to adding $1,500 per day, and a total of $5,000 a month to your PayPal Cash Plus account. If you have reached either of these limits, you will not be able to use the cash reload service until the next day or month, when your PayPal limits reset.
