My customer sees a pending authorization in their PayPal activity for the Pay in 4 Transaction. Why?
When making a purchase with Pay in 4, we will conduct a pre-authorization hold on your customer’s specified card for an amount equal to the initial down payment, or one fourth of the total purchase amount. This will show as a pending authorization within your customer’s PayPal Account Activity and also at their financial institution. Once their purchase with Pay in 4 is complete and you ship the goods to your customer, the pending authorization will be removed and the initial down payment will be withdrawn from their specified debit or credit card. If your customer does not complete their Pay in 4 transaction, the pending authorization will be automatically voided by PayPal within 72 hours of the pre-authorization hold.
