My Capital One credit card or Chase Pay account is being declined for my Pay in 4 payment – why?

My Capital One credit card or Chase Pay account is being declined for my Pay in 4 payment – why?
Due to decisions made by Capital One and JP Morgan Chase, Capital One credit cards and Chase Pay can no longer be used to repay any Buy Now Pay Later transactions, including Pay in 4.  If you are currently using a Capital One credit card or Chase Pay account to make payments on a Pay in 4 loan, please log into your PayPal account and take the below actions to avoid payments from being declined:
  1. Select the Pay in 4 Plan that you are currently using a Capital One credit card or Chase Pay account as the chosen funding instrument for autopayments.
  2. Under “Plan Summary” update the payment method by clicking on the “Change” link located under the existing payment method details.
  3. Choose another existing credit or debit card in your wallet or link a new card for autopayments.
Complete the above steps for each active Pay in 4 plan in which you are utilizing a Capital One credit card or Chase Pay account for repayment.

Can I use a Capital One credit card or Chase Pay account as a payment method when making a purchase with Pay in 4 or to set up autopayments or one-time payments on an existing Pay in 4 plan?
