Why should I turn on push notifications in the PayPal Mobile app when using the Cash a Check service in the PayPal app?

Enabling push notifications on your mobile device when you use the PayPal app allows you to receive immediate transaction status updates during the check review process, even if you close the app in the middle of a check cashing transaction. Push notifications will help you stay informed on the next necessary action to complete the review process and get your money as quickly as possible.

Your Android device will enable push notifications on the PayPal app by default. If you disable push notifications and want to re-enable the notification service, follow these steps:
  1. Close the PayPal app and tap Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the Applications tab and tap the PayPal app.
  3. Enable Show Notifications.
  4. Close Settings and re-open the PayPal app to continue.

To enable push notifications on an iPhone:
  1. Close the PayPal app and tap Settings.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Make sure Allow Notifications is enabled.
  4. Set your notification options.
  5. Close Settings and re-open the PayPal app to continue.
