How do I increase my PayPal Credit limit?

At this time, PayPal Credit  customer support representatives cannot raise your PayPal Credit limit over the phone. However, if you check out with PayPal Credit and you don’t have enough available credit to cover your purchase, your account will be instantly reviewed to see if you qualify for an increase. If we can't raise your credit limit we’ll send you an email within 24-48 hours to tell you why. This will happen automatically during checkout, and it won’t slow you down. It also won’t affect your credit report, and there are no fees or penalties for trying!

  • To free up some of your Paypal Credit limit, you can make a payment to your account and allow up to 8 business days for the payment to be applied to your credit limit.
  • From time to time we will review your limit and may increase.  If your PayPal Credit limit is increased during a review we will notify you by email.

Once you've been approved for PayPal Credit you will find your Credit line listed under your PayPal Credit balance on the left side of your summary page.
