Here’s how it works
Start by linking your card
Log into your account with PayPal.
Click Wallet, then click Link a Card and enter the details of your American Express Card.
Click Link Card.
If your eligible American Express Card is already linked, then you are all set to start enjoying using American Express Membership Rewards® when you check out with PayPal.
Once linked, you'll see your available American Express Membership Rewards® points balance and an option to use those points for eligible purchases when you check out with PayPal.1
If you change your mind, click Details on your Card page, then click Stop Using Points with PayPal, and then click Stop Using Points.
Start shopping
When you shop online, select your eligible American Express Card and check out with PayPal. See your available American Express Membership Rewards® points balance and associated pound (£) value for use. Check Pay with your American Express Membership Rewards® and finalise your order.
Support a cause you care about
You can donate your rewards to support a cause you love. Your points will be automatically converted into the equivalent pound (£) donation amount.³
